About

Our Story

Suki + Solaine began in 2014, founded around Owner + Design Director Brandi Archer’s concept for a collection of ethically-made knitwear essentials. The brand quickly became known for deliciously soft tees and dresses in modern and wearable silhouettes. In a few short years, Suki + Solaine has evolved into a smart, metropolitan lifestyle brand known for its luxe fabrications, exclusive digital prints and facile use of line and texture.

The brand’s silhouettes and prints are inspired by travel, art, and the happenings of daily life, and the design and pattern-making team seeks to balance timelessness and trends, style and simplicity, fashion and function within each piece. The resulting clothes are perfect for the modern girl-on-the-go: the woman who wants to look good and feel good while doing it all.

The brand is headquartered in Chicago, and we pride ourselves on keeping our manufacturing stateside. The design process takes place in Chicago and we source our high-quality textiles from a variety of locales: California, France, Italy, Turkey, Japan... just to name a few. Samples, and the majority of our final products, are manufactured locally - mostly in our very own atelier.

Philanthropic Efforts

We are a small company created, owned, and operated BY WOMEN making clothing FOR WOMEN. Not only are we committed to doing what we can within the fashion industry to lessen waste and damage to the environment and put an end to unethical and unsafe working conditions, we are all around committed to the equality and empowerment of women, fellow humans, and our world.  In May 2017, we launched WOMYN, a collection born out of our desire to give back. For our first capsule collection, we partnered with Abby Lichtman Design, another woman-owned business, to create 4 graphics and 1 print.  25% of the proceeds from the sale of items with these prints goes back to charities we believe in and fully support. Check out the WOMYN Collection on our site to learn more.
